David-Muir

David Muir is an American anchor and journalist popular for his ABC newscast World News Tonight with David Muir and for his role in the ABC News magazine 20/20 for which he serves as a co-anchor. Its dramatic video footage and the animated movements has made it the top watched American newscast. Made In America, his Emmy Nominated show is one of his other accomplishments. Before taking on ABC World News Tonight, he served as the primary substitute for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. The primetime newscasts on ABC News include Breaking Point: Heroin in America, Flashpoint: Refugees in America. The reporter has covered stories from all over the globe, including in Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. He has won numerous Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards as well as honors from The Associated Press.

Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother.
