Ally Sheedy

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (born June 13th, 1962) is an American actress from America. Her film debut was with 1983's Bad Boys she became known as one of the Brat Pack of actors. She was also on the screen in WarGames (1983) The Breakfast Club (1985) and Short Circuit (1986). Sheedy earned an Independent Spirit Award Best Female Leading for her performance in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998). Ally Sheedy was born in the United States and is both an actress as well as an author. She started her career in film with the crime drama film Bad Boys in the early 1980s for which she was praised. The film was directed by Rick Rosenthal, other well-known actors such as Sean Penn Esai Morales Clancy Brown as well as Alan Ruck also appeared. After her breakthrough with her debut film, she was later seen in the 1985 comedy drama film The Breakfast Club. John Hughes' film is thought to be among the best high school movies of all-time. Though the budget was only $1 million its earnings crossed $50 million. The actress also appeared on a number of television programs, such as CBS Schoolbreak. This was her debut on television. In April of 1980, the show started airing. It was intended for young people. The actress also appeared in other television shows like Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid and Hill Street Blues. Some of her latest appearances are in Little Sister and X-Men Apocalypse an action film featuring an X-Men superhero, where she is in a role as a guest. Sheedy has been praised for her outstanding performances. has received numerous awards, one of which was her MTV Movie Award for Silver Bucket of Excellence Award in the year 2005.
