Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and writer. Her family was home-schooled by her mother within the USA. Her childhood was filled with racist taunts and felt unloved. She began to gain confidence in the ninth grade when she entered a school audition and was highly praised for her performance. Not only did it boost her confidence but her ambitions transformed. In 1992 she graduated with her master's degree from the city's Julliard School. In the year 23 she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she played the character of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. The following year, she appeared as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC the show, she received more appreciation. As a professional singer, she's also produced songs as well as an extended work. Also, she's an activist and fights in the fight for LGBT rights.
